We decided to simplify things with 3 simple skincare don'ts to avoid instead. Get these down and you’ll be on the right track.

1. Don’t pop that pimple!
We did an entire blog post on this! You’re making it worse, friends. Trust us. When you pop, you delay the healing process, increasing the chances of scarring which results in making the problem worse. Eek
2. Don’t go to bed with makeup on.
We know, we know. It was a long night and all you can think about is your face hitting that pillow. But trust us when we tell you, taking the 3-5 minutes to wash it off will save you a lot of frustration later on. Makeup can trap dirt in the skin. Can we say hello to new acne! You definitely don’t want that dirt cooking on your face overnight. It can also increase signs of aging. This happens because not only is dirt being trapped, but environmental pollutants as well. So, clean it off with a quality cleanser. Your skin will thank you!
3. Don’t skimp on a good night's sleep!
This is hustle-culture and team no sleep, or whatever- but no sleep will have you looking like Freddy Krueger! Eek! Seriously though, try to get 7-8 hours of sleep each night. This will allow your skin to keep its youthful appearance. More sleep helps to fight the signs of aging, and also helps you to not wake up with those dreaded dark circles and eye bags. You won’t have to run for the cucumber slices if you catch those Zs instead! Also, when you are asleep your blood flow increases, your skin produces collagen, and repairs UV damage. Not going to sleep is like skipping a free facial rejuvenation !
