Last Minute Pimple Help!

Got a last minute pimple and feeling a bit eeeekkkk!

Here are a few tips to reduce the size and appearance of that little dot on your face.

Let's jump right in!

1. ICE, ICE, BABY !!

First thing's first- don't put the ice directly on your skin. Wrap it in a cloth or t-shirt and place it over the zit. If you have the time, it is recommended you do this 4-5 times throughout the day. This will reduce the swelling, and any pain if there is any.

Please, I beg of you-do not pop, pick at, or play with the zit. You run the risk of leaving hard to get rid of marks on your skin when you do this. In addition, it'll probably get bigger if you aren't successful at popping it. This just makes the whole situation more difficult, and you'll be back at square one. Also, not touching your face is a great way to prevent some forms of acne from occurring.

We get it! You've got somewhere to be, and you just need to focus on covering it up for the time being! Keep makeup on hand that contains salicylic acid. Salicylic acid is an ingredient found in many acne products. So, if you have makeup that contains it you're getting a two-for-one deal (sorta) !

Easier said than done, we know. Ever gone to bed stressed about your acne, only to wake up and it's worse? That's because stress makes your body produce cortisol, which increases inflammation and sebum (oil) production. This is the recipe for more acne! You don't want this. Go do some yoga, go for a run, or Netflix and chill (literally though) - ha !!

Remember that little acid we discussed a few lines up? Well, guess what? Salicylic acid is also present in aspirin. Crush that baby up and add a few drops of water. Make it paste-like. Afterwards, rub it on the problem area. This will begin the remove of excess oil from the skin. In addition, it will also reduce the size and color of the acne.

Hope at least one of these tips has helped you out!
