5 Healthy Skin Tips
As great as our products are, a good skin care routine is a bit more than just what we put on our skin. What we put into our bodies is equally as important as what goes on them, if not more important. Great skin isn't achieved through products alone. We're sorry, we know that's not what you wanted to hear. Buuuut, we are here to provide you with tips that will give you that glow you get from your favorite Snapchat filter.

Stress is your skins worst enemy. When we are stressed our bodies produce more hormones- which makes our skin oily. As a result, acne begins to rear it's ugly head. A few ways to keep stress levels low is through exercise, yoga, and setting aside time to just do you! Prioritize self-care to keep stress levels low. Besides, we can't fill everyone else's cup if ours is empty to begin with.
2. Drink Your Water
Being adequately hydrated is one of the simplest ways to maintain glowing, elastic skin that is clear of breakouts. Getting into the habit of bringing a water bottle everywhere you go is a great start. Drinking water helps clear toxins from the body which prevents acne. Plus, when you are dehydrated your skin loses its elasticity, which can result in older looking skin.
3. Get Adequate Sleep
When we get a solid 8 hours of sleep, our bodies are hard at work repairing themselves. When we don't get enough sleep, our bodies are exposed to extra stress. Less sleep equals more stress. See #1 for all of the reasons you want to avoid stress. :)
4. Clean Your Sheets/Pillowcases
Most people are only in their beds when they are clean, so it doesn't cross their minds to wash the pillowcases and sheets every time they wash clothing. The buildup from the oils on our skin collects on our pillowcases and sheets, and can irritate our skin. Clean those sheets!
5. Remove Your Makeup
We have all been there. It's been a long, yet fun night; you make it home, and you are way too tired to remove that face full of makeup. Big Mistake! Take that makeup off!! Keeping makeup on overnight can have disastrous effects on the skin- to include, but not limited to waking up with a huge pimple in the morning. Eek!
